Alex Zakrewsky (Writer/Director and Narrator)

Alex is the youngest son of Lydia Rohowich Zakrewsky, whose life is the subject of Lydia’s Story. He works as a Principal Planner at the Middlesex County, NJ Office of Planning, supervising the Division of Data Management and Technical Services. He is also a co-founder of Middlesex Apartments, LLC. Alex holds an MS in Urban Planning from Rutgers University; an MA in Sociology from The American University; and a BA in Political Science and Geography from The George Washington University.

Heather Fenyk (Writer/Director)

Heather is Principal of Global Metrics, LLC, an urban planning research and consulting firm based in New Brunswick, NJ. She is also Executive Director of the non-profit Lower Raritan Watershed Partnership, Inc. She holds a doctorate in Planning and Public Policy and a Masters in City and Regional Planning, both from Rutgers University, and a B.A. from the University of Iowa, where she studied English and Non-Fiction Writing. She loved working on Lydia’s Story and and is now working on a series of educational videos about watershed ecology with her 10 year daughter, Maya.

Nan Bress (Filmmaker)

Nan has worked for many years as an ethnographic researcher with her company Docnography (www.docnography.com). She is also a documentary filmmaker and has worked on four PBS productions, cable television programs, independent films, and television news (Fox News Channel and Reuters).  She holds an M.A. from Stanford University in Documentary Film and Video Production; an M.A. from the University of Chicago in the Social Sciences; and a B.A. from Swarthmore College. Nan currently works in both fields of ethnography and documentary. She shoots and edits her own work.
